A reflection of Alan’s immersive style, ParSonics studio is situated atop his secluded Tres Vientos Ranch in the hills above Santa Barbara. This state-of-the-art facility is surrounded on all sides by expansive panoramic views that engage you as they inspire in this retreat-like setting. The control room features a 32-channel Neve 5088 analog console, 5.1 monitoring through B&W 802 Diamond Loudspeakers and a selection of microphones collected by Alan over his 40+ year long career including; a Neumann U47 FET (Field-Effect Transistor), British Coles 4038 ribbon mics and the Neve RNR1 ribbon mic, a gift to Alan from Rupert Neve. Having worked “in the box”, Alan is firmly in the camp that believes, while computers make things easy, analog consoles produce better sound.

ParSonics was completed in 2018 and was used in the recording of Alan Parsons’ most recent album The Secret, released on the Frontiers label April 26th of 2019. The control room looks through to a generously sized tracking room with adjoining iso booths. The studio features a luxurious green room and catering area with a wrap-around deck that is large enough to accommodate outside dining, seminars and events. The control room fits 8 comfortably and up to 16 snuggly. There are plenty of opportunities for free movement if you need a quick ear-refresh or an inspirational moment in nature.
